The Venice Project

The Venice Project is a Web Publisher named after the Merchant of Venice, where Rennaisance Merchants sent their ships out to trade. We want to offer TurboCASH users a gateway to the Web. With very little skill they will be able to publish their data to a number of web services.

Architecture

Venice is a plugin for TurboCASH that will take an XML export out of TurboCASH in a TXF format and will submit it to a "listening server" which will accept the file, validate it and submit to a web service that will create a web page and submit this web page to the major search engines.

The TXF fromat

This is an XML Format, more fully described in the Developer guide to TurboCASH.

XSL XML

We would use an XSL Stylesheet to display in the browser. This would contain the reference to the Google advertisers.

Content

Company details and contact information, as well as a list of Stock and categories, as well as selling prices, and links to image information

Search Engines

I have talked so far to Mbendi, Win4 Win and Zollop. I have not done anything with any of them yet.

Revenue Model

After a number of discussions, we are determined to keep the cost of these web pages to zero from the end user's point of view. We will try a model based on Google Adsense. We create a web page with the User's details and stock info, and combine it with Adsense pages.
