Good Accounting is vital to business success. Many businesses fail because they simply do not put into place the systems required to monitor and report on activity. By linking accounting to the banking system, you not only simplify accounting input, but you immediately gain access to improved information flow. This is critical for Small business.
1) Razak Accounting is a leading Support Centre for Open Source Accounting Software. We specialise in TurboCASH Accounting. We would like to to increase these service levels to the TurboCASH project, but are unable to get them to make the financial commitment to us. There are approximately 3000 FNB users in the TurboCASH user database. We propose that FNB sponsors us to differentiate these users from the others.
2) We propose that FNB makes a R 800 000 investment in the TurboCASH project. This will be spent R 600 000 to Razak Accounting for Support. We will offer first line support to all FNB customers who have TurboCASH. R 100 000 will go to Sylvian Nzala - a programmer - who will produce an interface between FNB Internet Banking and TurboCASH. R 100 000 will be used to send the FNB users a free TurboCASH CD with FNB branding.
3) We have spoken to Philip Copeman, the leader of the project and he has agreed to the proposal. The agreement is for the year 2006.
4) FNB will gain in that not only will FNB customers be given a world class accounting package free, they will get a services which will tie them to the FNB banking system. This will be at a cost of less than R 300 per user for the year. It will also help with a cross over of other banking users to FNB.
5) Razak Accounting is a CC owned and managed by Sylvain Mbumba, Faizel Razak and Louisa Ratshefola. Sylvain Nzala is self employed

Aim of this document is to detail the application for Razak Accounting to become a recognised and authorised Seta accredited agency.
Seta Application
'The following is Needed right Now for your SETA accreditation'
1. Identify a person within RAZAK or Pink Software who will do the assesor course.
2. We need to get started on your Portfolio of Evidence, This document serves as evidence that your institution meets all the requirements to be accredited, I have mailed Swacks an Index of what this document should include. I will be available on Skype to aid you with this.
3. Complete the Request form, I will mail it on monday.
4. We need to create Question papers and Memos based on the Unit Standards. I have already downloaded all relevent Unit Standards from FASSET.
5. When all of this is completed we hand in your request and if all goes well we will be notified of inspection

6. I recommend that we use Selwyn for the assesor, the reason for this is that the assesor needs to be qualified at one level higher than the Unit Standards that the students will do. We are looking at a CA. Since Selwyn is already a CA this will speed up the process.
