OSCommerce

This is the world's leading Open Source ecommerce Software. They have 80000 users and grawing rapidly. They are a PHP program with many forks, Zen Cart and OSMAX being the biggest of these forks. Our aim is to form an alliance with OSCommerce.

Goals

OSCommerce provides a great front end to the TCASH program. OSCommerce are the leaders in this field. What we need to do is ensure that there is a really strong data transferability between OO and the TurboCASH project

Opportunities

1. Data Import
   1. We currently do Iport of Docs
   2. We need to import trnasactions
   3. Need to make sure that transacitosn can be taken using Razor
2. Data export
   1. Must be able to upload Stock data
   2. Will require an XML extension to TurboCASH Roadmap XML

Action Plan

A description of how we should go about achieving the goals required and what resources are required to achieve this.

Steps to be taken

1. Improve the current plugin
   1. Get another developer onto the project
   2. See if there is an XML structure to OSCommerce
   3. Understand what we have achieved so far with TXF
   4. Setup simple prototypes for transfer
   5. Starting a TurbOCASH Sub Project
2. Getting buy in from OSCommerce
   1. Identify interested parties in the OSCOmmerce Community
   2. Market TurboCASH as a brand to the OSCOmmerce community
   3. Organise a Banner exchange with their web site.
