Chopping
Chopping is a strenuous exersise that combines excertion with agility drills.
It is important to use great form in chopping and to use it as a team building exercise.
- Start in the Linebacker Stance
- Holding 18 Meter Rope in Front OR
- Clap on Knees in Time OR
- Clap on Hlepmets
- Clap-2-3-4; 1-2-3-4, Clap-2-3-4 etc etc
- Feet pound, through the drill, start slowly, speed up, but stay in time.
- Lower your centre of gravity
- If the Upper legs don't burn, you ain't doing it right.
- At first begins with 20 seconds or less, form is more important than length of the drill.
- Nobody gets left behind
- Our Defense is as weak as the weakest link not the strongest
- Variation
- Coaches walk throught he squad Pushing or Pulling (Bullying) players
- Player must hold poise and form. Chopping is a strong action
- Coaches walk throught he squad Pushing or Pulling (Bullying) players
- Variation
- Use the 4 point stance and Crab walk left and right
- Introduce a Roll from the 4 Point Stance
- Onto the back Left or onto the Back Right
- Back into 4 Point Stance
- Keepo the back straight and Head up looking at the coach.
- Repeat with two eggs until you puke!
